In November 2009, Kairos recruited 10 new volunteers to join our wonderful team. Jane, a new volunteer, shares her experience so far….

‘I was looking for volunteering opportunities in Coventry and came across the Kairos website during a web search. I recognised Kairos because a friend had volunteered for them through Horizon Volunteering and had told me how rewarding she found it.

I attend two drop-in sessions a month that run between 8om and 10pm on  a Wednesday and Friday evening. I am also involved in carrying out some research with the service-users on how well Kairos is meeting their needs.

Volunteering makes me feel that I am part of something that has the potential to change someone’s life and that is a very positive feeling.’

Kairos is proud to have a strong team of enthusiastic, committed and compassionate volunteers, without whom the project couldn’t run We would like to take this opportunity to say a big THANKS to our team for their hard work and support.

We will be looking to recruit additional volunteers later in the year.
